Stefan Boerkamp (NL, 1997)

Stefan Boerkamp is an artist and designer whose practice centers around

storytelling and world-building through speculative creation.

His work is deeply rooted in esotericism and humanity’s enduring fascination and desire for transcendence through both the body and the spiritual realm. Moving between the uncanny and the intimate, his practice investigates how longing, belief, and transformation shape human experience.

He creates work both autonomously and on commission, working across both physical and digital media, he creates meticulously crafted sculptures and imagery that exist at the intersection of contemporary technology

and the obsolete.  By combining advanced digital processes with the ‘outdated’ or ‘forgotten’ techniques, he creates a dialogue between past and present, material and immaterial. 

Guided by an intuition and emotion, his work emerges from an inward process rather than predetermined narratives. Fascinated by human emotion and the path

of life itself. His creations are strange and ethereal, seeking resonance through a universal language.
